Daffodil (Narcissus)

Short Description:
Daffodils are cheerful flowering plants known for their bright yellow, white, or bi-colored blooms with a trumpet-shaped center. They are popular spring flowers that symbolize renewal and new beginnings. While commonly grown outdoors, they can also be enjoyed indoors for short periods when in bloom.

Care Guide:

  • Sunlight: Bright, indirect light (avoid harsh direct sun indoors)

  • Water: Keep soil lightly moist; water when the top layer of soil feels dry

  • Soil: Well-draining potting mix

  • Temperature: Prefers cool to moderate temperatures (10–18°C / 50–65°F)

  • Fertilizer: Not necessary while blooming; a light bulb fertilizer can be used after flowering if grown long-term

  • After Bloom Care: Once flowers fade, allow leaves to remain until they yellow naturally, as this helps the bulb store energy

Note: Daffodils are toxic if ingested, so keep them away from pets and children.
