Hoya australis, commonly known as the Waxvine or Common waxflower is a popular plant grown for its attractive glossy foliage, and sweetly scented wax-like white flowers with cerise inner markings under the white corona. The flowers are 1.5-2 cm, cup-shaped , between 10 and 40 flowers in each umbel depending on subspecies . Hoya australis flowers last about one week and have a very strong spicy fragrance.
