Ixia Plant Without Flower

Ixia (often called African corn lily) is a graceful, bulb-like flowering plant known for its slender stems and star-shaped blooms in bright colors like pink, red, yellow, white, and purple. It’s popular in pots and garden beds for its delicate, airy look and spring to early summer flowers.

Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light (avoid harsh direct sun, especially indoors)

• Water: Water regularly during active growth; keep soil lightly moist but not soggy. Reduce watering once flowering finishes.

• Temperature: Prefers cool to mild temperatures (10–20°C / 50–68°F)

• Fertilizer: Feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer during growth

• Dormancy: After flowering, leaves will yellow and die back—allow the corms to rest in dry soil until the next growing season
