Lilium (Lily)

Description:
Lilium, commonly known as lilies, are elegant flowering plants admired for their large, fragrant, trumpet- or bowl-shaped blooms. They grow from bulbs and come in a wide range of colors, including white, pink, yellow, orange, and red. Lilies are often used as ornamental plants indoors and outdoors due to their striking appearance and long-lasting flowers.

Care:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light (avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch leaves).

  • Water: Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings.

  • Soil: Well-draining, rich potting mix.

  • Temperature: Prefers cool to moderate temperatures (15–22°C).

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during active growth and flowering.

  • After Blooming: Remove spent flowers, but allow leaves to yellow naturally to help the bulb store energy.
