Product details

Rajanigandha (Tuberose / Polianthes tuberosa)

Short description:
Rajanigandha is a fragrant flowering plant grown from a mother bulb. The bulb produces sprouts that develop into long, narrow green leaves and tall flower spikes bearing white, highly aromatic flowers, commonly used for garlands and decoration.

Care tips:

  • Sunlight: Bright indirect light is ideal. It can tolerate some gentle morning sun, but avoid harsh direct sunlight.

  • Soil: Well-draining, loose soil (garden soil mixed with sand and compost).

  • Water: Water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging, as bulbs can rot.

  • Mother bulb & sprouted plant: Plant the mother bulb with the pointed side up. Once sprouted, ensure good light and airflow for healthy growth.

  • Temperature: Prefers warm conditions (20–30°C).

  • Fertilizer: Light feeding every 2–3 weeks during active growth helps flowering.
